In solidarity with other faith traditions the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange will host the second annual “Blessing of the Waves” at the iconic Huntington Beach Pier. The goal of this Diocesan sponsored prayer service and blessing is to bring together surfers and ocean-minded people, regardless of their faith tradition, to show spiritual appreciation for the ocean and all that it gives the planet and its population.

The USC Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies and Quiksilver, Inc. have created an exciting new event in science education. The Challenge is a multi-faceted competition for student teams designed to spark their interest in science and the oceans. The Challenge also seeks to foster leadership qualities in young people through environmental awareness and stewardship. When applying for a grant through the Quiksilver Foundation, you must be aware that we are a boardriding company and your application must be within our vision. We will support orgainzations and groups that have clearly defined their special need for our support. The Quiksilver Foundation takes all applications seriously and if an application is approved, the Board of Directors will follow the progress of the work through all stages of development requiring frequent updates, receipts and information from you the approved grantee.
The Quiksilver Foundation provides support to a host of charitable initiatives, organizations, and projects aligned with its mission of supporting communities of boardriders across the globe. In addition, the Quiksilver Foundation shares a wide range of resources, including Quiksilver product donations, to enable community-based organizations to achieve their charitable goals.
